Terms of service

These terms apply when you use robsondecals.com or purchase products from Robson Decals. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Return and Refund Policy and Shipping Policy. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About our products

Robson Decals supplies made-to-order vinyl decals, graphics and related signage products. We take reasonable care to describe products accurately. Colours can appear differently between screens and physical vinyl, so contact us before ordering if an exact colour match is important.

Dimensions, permitted surfaces and material finishes are stated on the relevant product page or agreed during custom work. Customers are responsible for checking measurements and following the supplied application guidance.

2. Custom artwork and mock-ups

Digital mock-ups are provided to help confirm layout, wording, approximate scale and colour before production. Please check names, spelling, measurements and placement carefully. Production may begin once a custom proof is approved.

Where you provide wording, logos, images or other artwork, you confirm that you own the material or have permission to use it. We may refuse work that we reasonably believe is unlawful, misleading, offensive or infringes another person’s rights.

3. Orders and payment

Submitting an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we accept the order and send confirmation. Payment must be authorised before production or dispatch.

We may decline or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, pricing or listing information contains a clear error, required custom details are missing, or fulfilling the order would be unlawful. If we cancel after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid.

4. Prices

The price shown when you place the order is the price charged, subject to correction of obvious errors. Delivery charges and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout. International customers may also be responsible for import duties or local taxes as explained in our Shipping Policy.

5. Cancellations, returns and faults

Cancellation and return rights depend on whether an item is a standard catalogue product or is genuinely personalised or made to a unique specification. Full details, including the 14-day cancellation right for eligible online purchases and the treatment of faulty goods, are set out in our Return and Refund Policy.

6. Delivery

Delivery services, estimates, tracking and responsibilities are explained in our Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are estimates unless a guaranteed service is explicitly agreed.

7. Using and applying decals

Results depend on the surface condition, preparation, temperature and application method. Our decals should be used only on suitable, clean, dry and properly cured surfaces. Follow the instructions on our How to Apply page and contact us before fitting if you are unsure about a surface.

We are not responsible for damage caused by incorrect preparation, unsuitable surfaces, incorrect measurements or application that does not follow the instructions. This does not exclude responsibility where a product was faulty, unsafe or not as described.

8. Website use

You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not interfere with its security or operation, misuse another person’s account, submit false payment or contact information, or copy website content and branding without permission.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed, or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase.

10. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Shopify and payment providers also process information where necessary to operate the store and complete transactions.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the UK, you retain any mandatory rights and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms when our services or legal requirements change. The version published when an order is placed will apply to that order.
