HOW TO APPLY

Every Robson Decals design arrives pre-spaced on application tape, ready to fit as one complete graphic.

Before you start

  • Apply to a smooth, clean and completely dry surface.
  • Avoid dusty, textured, damp, recently painted, waxed or silicone-treated surfaces.
  • For painted walls, allow the paint to cure fully before applying a decal.
  • Fit in a dry, sheltered area and take your time.

How to apply your decal

  1. Clean the surface. Remove dust, grease and polish, then let the area dry completely.
  2. Position the decal. Hold it in place with small pieces of masking tape and check the alignment from a distance.
  3. Press the graphic firmly. Rub over the application tape with a squeegee or bank card, working from the centre outwards.
  4. Remove the backing paper. Peel it away slowly at a sharp angle. If any part stays on the backing, lower it again and rub firmly.
  5. Apply the vinyl. Lower the application tape gradually while smoothing the decal onto the surface.
  6. Remove the application tape. Rub over the whole design once more, then peel the tape back slowly at a sharp angle.

After application

Press around fine edges and small details, then leave the adhesive to settle for 24 hours before washing or cleaning the area.
